Dog parasites are mainly divided into two categories. One type is internal parasites, including roundworms, tapeworms, etc.; the other type is external parasites, such as lice and fleas. Serious threat to the health and growth of dogs. So, how can we tell whether our dog has parasites?
1. Internal Parasites
Internal parasites cannot be directly observed and can only be known by observing the dog’s behavior or feces.

The dog’s food intake increases, but its body weight does not increase or even decrease. It may also be accompanied by gastrointestinal discomfort such as vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, etc.; the dog will rub its buttocks on the ground while playing or after defecation.

After parasites occur in the dog's body, some worms or eggs will occasionally be found in the feces, which can be seen with careful inspection.

2. It is easy to find external parasites in white and light-colored dogs. Since the food of ectoparasites is the dog's blood, they often make stinky diarrhea after eating it, leaving little black spots on the dog's body. If you comb your dog's hair, it's easy to find out. If you want to identify whether it's dirt on the dog or if the dog has bugs, it's also easy. Just put the little black dots in the water, melt them and see if there are any. Red is fine. The red ones must be the feces of external parasites, so you should try your best to deworm your dog.
3. Dark and black dogs are less likely to find external parasites in their feces. There is a little thing called a flea comb, which is a very dense and very fine comb. It cannot comb out the external parasites on the dog, but it can comb out the poop mentioned above. You only need to comb it out and tap it on the white paper, and then you can identify whether it is dirty items or ectoparasites. The pattern of poop is the same as above.
Deworm your dog regularly and pay more attention to inspections to minimize the possibility of your dog getting parasites.
