Doberman Pinscher (Definite Introduction) p>
The ideal male Doberman Pinscher should be 27.5 inches tall at the withers, and the ideal female Doberman should be 25.5 inches tall at the withers. The ideal Doberman Pinscher should weigh 40-45kg. The body should be square in shape, slender in appearance and well muscled.
Morphological characteristics
Head
The head is long and close. Regardless of whether it is a blunt wedge shape when viewed from the front or side, the surface of the head from the mouth to the base of the ears is a complete straight line that gradually widens. The eyes are almond-shaped and the position is excessively sunken, making the eyes look bright and energetic. The color of the eyes is simple. The color of the eyes of a black dog is from medium to very dark brown. The color of the eyes of other colors, such as red, blue, and camel dogs, is consistent with the pattern color of the body. Ears are often cropped and erect. When the ears are straight, the upper part of the ears is located on the top of the head.
The top of the head is flat, the skull is connected to the breath through a slight stop, and the surface line of the breath is parallel to the surface of the skull. Cheeks are flat and muscular. Black dogs have pure black noses; red dogs have dark brown noses; blue dogs have dark gray noses; camel dogs have dark brown noses. The lips are close to the left and right jaws, and the left and right jaws are full and powerful, located under the eyes.
White and strong teeth, scissors bite, 42 teeth in total, 22 in the lower jaw and 20 in the upper jaw. Disqualifications: Upper jaw oversized by more than 3/16 inch; lower jaw oversized by more than 1/8 inch; 4 or more teeth missing.
Neck and Body
The neck is held proudly and the muscles are strong and tight. The neck is slightly arched and its length is even in proportion to the length of the body and head. Gradually widens to match the body shape. The withers are prominent and are the highest point of the body. The back is short and strong, with sufficient width for the feet. The waist muscles flourish. A straight line from the withers to the slightly rounded croup.
The chest is broad and the front chest is suitable for swelling. The ribs are raised from the spine and gradually flatten downwards to the elbows. Chest deep to the elbows. The abdomen is over-tucked and spreads from the chest to create an arc. The loin is broad and muscular. The buttocks are honest and in good proportion to the body. The width of the hips is approximately the same as the width of the ribcage and shoulders.
The tail is cut off at about the second tailbone, which is the extension of the spine. Only when alert will the tail be raised above the horizontal line.
Forequarters
The shoulder blades are tilted forward and downward, forming an angle of 45 degrees with the horizontal plane. Connected at a 90-degree angle to the forearm and exactly the same length as the upper arm. The length from elbow to withers is equal to the length from ground to elbow. The forelimbs from elbow to ankle, whether viewed from the front or side, are perfectly straight, parallel to each other and strong, with plenty of bone. Whether standing or walking, keep your elbows close to your chest. The ankles are thick and straight with the earth. Dewclaws may be removed. The feet are arched and close, similar to a cat's feet, neither turning in nor turning out.
Hindquarters
The angle of the hindquarters is stable with that of the forequarters, and the hip bones and spine are at a 30-degree angle (backwards and downwards), making the buttocks appear slightly rounded and outward. The angle between the thigh bone and hip bone is appropriate. The thigh is long, wide and muscular; the length of the thigh bone is approximately the same as the length of the tibia. When the dog is at rest, the area from hock to heel is perpendicular to the ground. Viewed from the reverse side, the legs are straight and parallel to each other. There is adequate space between the legs to support the body safely.
Coat
Smooth hair, short, hard, deep and close to the body. No visible gray undercoat on the neck is allowed.
Color pattern
Recognized colors: black, red, blue, camel (Isabella color). Pattern: Rust-colored pattern with clear borders. Scattered above the eyes, breath, throat, chest, hands and feet, legs, feet and under the tail. If there is a white pattern on the chest, it is allowed if the area is no larger than 1/2 square inch. Disqualification: The dog has an expression other than the one admitted.
Gait
Brisk, coordinated and energetic, with good reach in the forequarters and strong start of the hindquarters; strong hindquarter action at the trot. Each hind leg and front leg communicate in a common plane, with neither in nor out. The back is thick and quiet. When running fast, a well-structured dog will move along a simple track.
Weaknesses
What is depicted in the front is the ideal Doberman Pinscher. All situations that do not match what is depicted in the front are defects, and points will be deducted according to the degree of deviation.
